READY, STEADY, GO PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

Ready, Steady, Go Parent and Toddler Group is a fun play facility for parents/carers with pre-school age children in Spondon and the surrounding areas. The group is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.

The sessions take place at Spondon Cricket Club, in the function room on the first floor. To access the room, use the lift or walk up the stairs. If you need help getting upstairs with your child/children, a member of the team will be there to help you. If you have a pushchair it must be left in the corridor on the group floor. There is a large carpark for you to use.

Our aim is to provide educational activities for children aged 0 to 4 years of age.
Our FREE Stay and Play and Messy Play sessions are for children - 0 to 4 years
Allotment Club and FREE Pre-School Play sessions are for children - approximately 2 years 6 months to 4 years.
We also run a Forest School session every Thursday at Maggie's Day Nursery in Breadsall for children - approximately 2 years 6 months to 4 years.
We have a comfortable area inside for babies with mats and baby toys. Both the Allotment Club and Forest School sessions are outdoors so if you bring a baby you will need to use a sling.

All sessions follow a theme that interests young children and enable them to engage, explore and have fun. The sessions are be led by qualified, experienced educational practitioners. Activities are carefully planned and resourced and help develop children’s social, emotional, communication, creative and thinking skills. Each session provides a range of quality educational activities for parents/carers to play with their child and support their learning and development. Parents/carers are fully responsible for their child throughout the session.

It is my hope that the coming together of parents/carers and their children will provide a safe and warm environment in which everyone can play, socialise, support, guide and learn from each other.
