Allotment Club!!!

Ready, Steady, Go now have their own space at our local allotment!!

Each week, we will take a short walk to Spondon allotment and spend the session planting, watering and harvesting crops. During each session, we will also carry out art and craft based outdoor learning activities.

The group leader has a Forest School level 3 qualification and all staff have many years experience working with young children and a passion for gardening and the learning outdoors.

All sessions are age appropriate and encourage pre-school children and adults to have fun and learn more nature. Our aim is for everyone to be actively involved in developing the plot and that young children enjoy getting their hands dirty and develop a love of gardening, nature and our wonderful outdoor environment.

The planned activities will also help children develop their confidence, independence, listening skills and their ability to follow instructions.

If your child enjoys exploring the great outdoors, being creative and making new friends and having fun, come along and join in the outdoor fun!

Refreshments are available for children during the session and, most importantly, time for all to chat, play and develop new friendships.

As the whole session will be spent outdoors, adults and children must wear suitable outdoor clothing that will keep you warm and dry. Just to let you know, there is a toilet and potty at the allotment.

Our weather can be unpredictable, so if the forecast is too hot, wet or stormy we can remain onsite at the cricket club.

On Friday 4th December there will not be a Allotment Club session as Father Christmas is visiting the group on that morning. Bookings for this will take place directly with Angela Allen.

Please read, complete and return the 'Welcome Letter and Parental Agreement' on registration.
Please arrive by 9:10 at Spondon Cricket Club so that we can all walk together to Spondon allotment.
