THE PARENTING COLLECTIVE CIC

The Parenting Collective CIC is a grassroots, not for profit organisation supporting parents and families across Greater Manchester.

We believe that parents deserve support too. Becoming a parent can be wonderful, but it can also feel isolating, overwhelming and very different from what you expected. Finding people who understand what you're going through can make a real difference.

We create welcoming spaces where parents can meet, build friendships, access support and enjoy time for themselves without feeling they have to have everything figured out.

Our activities include babywearing dance classes, sling library and babywearing support, parent and baby groups and community wellbeing sessions. We also create opportunities for parents to connect with others, share experiences and find support within their local community.

Our work is rooted in the belief that every parent deserves to feel welcome, whatever their background, circumstances or experience of parenthood. We particularly want to reach families who may face additional barriers to accessing support, including those experiencing financial pressures or isolation.

As a small community interest company, we rely on grants, community support and the people who take part in our activities to keep our work going. Where funding allows, we offer free sessions and supported spaces so that cost is less of a barrier for families.
