MUSIC TREE

First Steps in Music is a playful, small-group music class for babies and their grown-ups. Through singing, movement, rhythm and instruments, babies are encouraged to listen, respond, explore and enjoy making music together.

Classes are led by Music Tree’s specialist music teachers, with no more than 12 children in a class, so there is space for each child to take part at their own pace.

It’s relaxed, warm and fun, while keeping real musical development at the heart of the class.

First Steps in Music is Music Tree’s class for families with children ages 0–18 , created to support early musical development through original songs, movement, play, and meaningful interaction. Rooted in Gordon’s Music Learning Theory and informed by research in music and child development, these classes offer a rich musical environment where babies and young children can explore sound, movement, improvisation, and connection at their own pace. With small groups and active parent or caregiver participation, each class also becomes a special space to bond with your child while meeting other families, sharing experiences, and enjoying music together. Our goal is to create a joyful, inspiring first musical experience that supports the whole child - and the whole family.
