DISCOVERY JUNCTION

Enjoy a gentle beginning with Discovery Junction’s free four-week baby massage course—a welcoming space to slow down, connect with your baby and meet other parents.

Suitable for babies aged six weeks to pre-crawling, this course introduces gentle massage techniques you can practise together at home. Each week, we’ll build a routine, giving you time to learn the movements, ask questions and follow your baby’s cues.

Baby massage offers a lovely opportunity to get to know your little one through touch, eye contact and interaction. Our focus is on making this a positive experience for both of you, helping you feel more confident recognising when your baby is ready for massage and when they need a break.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Gentle, step-by-step guidance through baby massage techniques.

• Time to practice at your baby’s pace.

• A relaxed atmosphere with space for feeding, changing and comforting.

• Opportunities to chat and connect with other parents.

• A small bottle of massage oil posted to the address provided when booking.

Sessions are completely baby-led. Your little one does not need to stay awake or take part throughout, and there is no pressure to complete every movement. Feeding breaks, sleepy babies, tears and cuddles are all welcome.

Cost: Free of charge

This course forms part of my baby massage training and case studies. By attending, you’ll help me gain practical experience and be invited to share feedback. Please aim to attend all four weeks so we can build the routine together.

Please bring a towel or blanket for your baby, your usual changing bag and anything needed for feeds. Adults must remove their shoes and wear socks on the mats.

Please complete a patch test with the supplied oil at least 48 hours before the first session, following the instructions provided.

Come as you are and enjoy a little time together.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the session begins so you have time to settle in with your baby.
• Socks only on the mats—please remove your shoes before stepping onto them.
• Bring a towel or blanket for your baby, your usual changing bag and anything needed for feeds.
• A small bottle of massage oil will be posted to your booking address. Please complete a patch test at least 48 hours before the first session, following the instructions provided.
• Sessions are baby-led, so feeding, changing, comforting and cuddle breaks are always welcome.
• Free tea and coffee will be available afterwards—stay for a cuppa and a chat with other parents.
• Please let me know about any accessibility needs or anything that would help you and your baby feel comfortable.
• If you can no longer attend, please cancel your booking so another family can enjoy the space.
