Move & Connect is a welcoming and playful creative movement class where young children and their grown-ups can dance, move, play, create and explore together.

Each week we use movement, music, singing, imaginative games, sensory play, colourful props and simple arts and crafts to create a fun shared experience. Sessions have different creative themes, giving children plenty of opportunities to explore, experiment and use their imagination.

Through movement and play, children can develop confidence, coordination, communication, creativity and social skills, while becoming more comfortable joining in and exploring alongside other children. These experiences also help children build important skills for nursery and school, including listening, taking turns, following instructions, expressing themselves and participating in a group.

Move & Connect is also about the relationship between you and your child. Parents and carers take part too, creating special time to play, laugh, move and connect together. You'll also meet other local families and discover simple movement and play ideas that you can continue at home.

There is no pressure to perform or follow everything perfectly.

Every child is different and is encouraged to participate at their own pace. Whether they want to jump straight in or need some time to watch and feel comfortable, they are welcome.

No previous dance experience is needed; just come ready to move, play, explore and enjoy lots of fun and laughter together.

The Upper Hall studio is on the first floor and, unfortunately, there is no lift. Buggies can be left safely inside the building on the ground floor. On-site parking is available only to Blue Badge holders. The nearest public car park is The Spires, directly opposite the venue. Limited street parking may also be available nearby, but it is usually very busy.
