Description
RICAMI is a creative embroidery group for new mums and their babies, designed to bring together creativity, conversation and connection.
No previous experience is needed and all materials are provided. Through simple stitching exercises, participants are invited to slow down, reflect and connect with other mothers in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Babies are welcome throughout the session, and there is no expectation to complete a project or have any artistic experience. Whether you come for the embroidery, the conversation, or simply to spend time with other local parents, RICAMI offers a gentle space to create and be part of a community.
Led by ART(ie) Collective, the project draws on community arts and wellbeing practices to support connection during the often-overlooked transition into motherhood.
No experience necessary. All materials are provided. Babies are welcome throughout the session, and feeding, changing and settling little ones is completely expected.
Sessions are relaxed and informal, with no pressure to complete a project. Participants are welcome to attend alone or with friends.
If cost is a barrier, please get in touch as a small number of concessionary places may be available.
