CalmCrafted is a new psychologist-run class combining regulating movement with sensory crafts, to help you to create more peace in your home!
Join Positive Psychologist Kirsti Gwynn and lay a foundation of positive emotional and mental health for your family.
- Have fun making a mindfulness-based sensory toy together each week (think "calm down" sparkle bottles, rainbow ribbon sticks, and homemade photo frames)
- Learn to use the toy as a calming tool to reduce power struggles and build self-control with your toddler/preschooler, or for your baby's sensory development
- Enjoy songs and some fun movement for wiggly bodies
- For the grown-ups: walk away with a simple practice to try to feel calmer and more confident amidst the chaos
- Meet a village of like-minded parents
Our classes typically start with some fun, easy movement for the kids that also happens to calm the nervous system, followed by relaxed crafting while we chat.
Wiggly bodies, meltdowns and frazzled arrivals always welcome!
CalmCrafted is perfect for sensitive for sensitive, "spicy" and strong-willed kids.

I look forward to welcoming you to our classes! Please don’t worry about your children crying or disrupting things, or you walking in late when it’s been one of those days - it’s all welcome here. Please ensure you book sibling tickets so I can be prepared with the right amount of creative materials. If you don’t want one of your children to have their own (eg. your baby will just share your toddler’s creation) then there is no need to book a sibling ticket.
