What Singing Mamas says

Singing Mamas is a community singing group for mothers and their babies and toddlers - a weekly circle where you can show up exactly as you are, no experience needed, no performance required. Many of our groups also welcome women of all ages and stages, with or without little ones.

We sing together because singing together does something that's hard to explain until you've felt it. It lifts the room. It settles babies. It reminds you that you're not doing this alone.

Every session is led by a trained Singing Mamas Community Leader, a local woman who knows this community because she's part of it. You'll learn simple, beautiful songs you can take home and sing to your little one all week.

No auditions. No spotlights. Just singing, connection, and usually a cup of tea and cake afterwards.

Join our community of women at this nurturing song sharing group! No experience of singing needed; all ages and stages welcome - you don't have to have young children to attend. Pregnant women from 36+ weeks gestation are invited to attend for free to help you build your postnatal community :-)

My name is Georgia and I have sung all my life, and continue to be blown away by how transformative it is for my mental health, particularly when I am singing with other people. However, I'm not alone in this respect - by now there's a wealth of research evidence demonstrating the positive effect singing can have on all sorts of areas of well being. I am a member of the UK Singing for Health Network, have trained as a Singing Mamas leader, and run regular and one-off song sharing groups for women, families, and public health communities.

Singing Mamas South London is currently operating in Streatham, Herne Hill, Addiscombe and Crystal Palace.
