What Singing Mamas says

Singing Mamas is a community singing group for mothers and their babies and toddlers - a weekly circle where you can show up exactly as you are, no experience needed, no performance required. Many of our groups also welcome women of all ages and stages, with or without little ones.

We sing together because singing together does something that's hard to explain until you've felt it. It lifts the room. It settles babies. It reminds you that you're not doing this alone.

Every session is led by a trained Singing Mamas Community Leader, a local woman who knows this community because she's part of it. You'll learn simple, beautiful songs you can take home and sing to your little one all week.

No auditions. No spotlights. Just singing, connection, and usually a cup of tea and cake afterwards.

Groups take place with Rachel in Leighton Buzzard on Mondays 1.30 pm – 2.45 pm.

Hello! I'm Rachel and I am hugely passionate about music and singing for wellbeing.

Singing Mamas is facilitated by 'Sing Well with Rachel', and under this banner I also deliver 1:1 singing lessons and vocal coaching sessions, lead the Leighton Buzzard Glee Club Community Choir, and work on other projects related to singing and mental wellbeing. I am a qualified Vocal Health and Mental Health First Aider, and I perform professionally at weddings, concerts, with local a cappella vocal group, Peculi8, and in local productions.

Having experienced my own mental ill-health, including over the perinatal period, I am committed to facilitating a safe space for women to come together, gaining support and connection through song and community.

When I am not singing, I am a busy wife and Mum to two young children, and can occasionally be found eating copious amounts of Cadbury's Marvellous Creations!
