RUSSIAN LANGUAGE SCHOOL

Russian Language Lessons for Children Aged 3–5

Our unique Russian language programme combines language development with early literacy and mathematics in a fun and engaging environment. Each week, children explore a new theme, expanding their vocabulary, developing confident speech and learning about the world around them through music, stories, role play and interactive activities.

Lessons introduce the foundations of Russian reading and writing, including phonemic awareness, Russian letters and sounds, and gradually progressing towards syllables and early word reading. Children also develop early mathematical thinking through number recognition, quantities, patterns, sequencing, comparison, shapes, problem-solving and the foundations of addition and subtraction — always adapted to their age and readiness.

Classes are taught by a qualified early childhood educator with a degree in pedagogy, who is also a trained pianist and vocalist, bringing music, creativity and energy into every lesson.

Optional Add-ons: Art Studio & Theatre Studio

Both programmes are taught entirely in Russian, providing additional opportunities for children to use and develop their language naturally.

In our Art Studio, taught by an artist-educator, children explore different artistic styles, materials and techniques while developing their creativity. Each year, we host school exhibitions and participate in the Royal Academy of Arts’ Young Artists’ Summer Show.

Our Theatre Studio gives children the opportunity to act, sing, dance and make music, while developing confidence and creativity. Children work towards two theatre performances each academic year, giving them the exciting experience of performing on stage.
