Welcome to When I Grow Up — a little world for big imaginations.
Our pop-up role-play sessions give little ones the freedom to explore, pretend and play at their own pace.
They can serve up something delicious in the café, do the weekly shop, care for a poorly pet, get creative as an hair stylist and discover lots more along the way.
Created by Martha, a qualified young person’s counsellor and play therapist and mum of two, When I Grow Up has been designed around something we feel passionately about — giving children the time and space to simply play.
There’s no structured class to follow and no right or wrong way to join in. Children are free to move between our different role-play areas, follow their interests and let their imaginations lead the way.
Our sessions are relaxed, friendly and designed for children under five, with parents and carers staying and playing alongside their little ones.

Booking info & prices
Sessions are 75 minutes and places must be booked in advance. This booking is for one child plus their accompanying parent or carer. Parents/carers remain responsible for their child throughout the session. Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your session to allow us time to reset our little world between sessions. Siblings: Additional sibling tickets can be added when booking. Babies under 12 months accompanying a paying sibling are welcome free of charge. We know life with little ones doesn’t always go to plan! If you’re unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible (48 hours’ notice to transfer a booking to another available session; no refunds/transfers within 48 hours.) Please let us know when booking about any additional needs or accessibility requirements so we can do our best to make your visit comfortable. Most importantly — come ready to play! 💜
