Description
Each week at Twistin Tots we go on a themed adventure, this could be a journey to the jungle, space or even a simple day in the garden. This includes music, parachute play, instruments, singing, dancing, puppets and props, all linked to the adventure theme. We also have a number of ‘favourite’ songs, that appear more often (as children of this age love repetition and familiarity). After the class there is an hour of stay and play with dress up, toys and ride ons for the children, and a well deserved cup of tea/coffee for the grown-ups.
Twistin Tots is a class for children aged 0-5. All are welcome – and we do have the full age range attending these classes. Lots of adults who have two children (a baby and a toddler for example), come regularly as it is difficult to find activities that suit both ages – but our classes do! All class activities have some learning objectives – whether it is to develop listening skills, speech and language, motor skills (fine and gross motor skills); to develop an understanding of concepts used in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS); or help with socialisation and co-operation.
