The start of our musical journey together! What can you expect in Jolly Babies? Bonding time, bouncing time, bubbles! There will be a high-energy dance or two but also the most gorgeous gentle lullabies. We use a wonderful range of stimulating sensory props and, at percussion time, a selection of musical instruments specifically designed for the tiniest of hands. As soon as you feel ready to attend, you will be welcomed into Jolly Babies with your new little one. We set no minimum age; you come when you and baby are ready to get out, to get going and to start making friends! In the thirty minutes you carve out to be together, singing and dancing, you will begin to learn so many beautiful new songs that will fit around the stages of your baby’s development, and so much material that you will come to time and time again between classes to play, to soothe, to settle.

I sing a mixture of well known and original songs which quickly become firm favourites to sing around the home. Each class is carefully planned to incorporate a range of learning opportunities and ways to help babies and toddlers develop. For Jolly Babies we do lots of waving, clapping, bouncing and a few simple dances. You’ll notice we repeat songs and actions as it’s so important during those early months to help them develop new skills. For Jolly Toddlers we have a different theme each term which includes musical concepts such as loud and soft, long and short sounds. I also help the little ones with other important skills like sharing, taking turns, building confidence, listening, making new friends, following instructions and lots more. Some of my favourite themes are Home, Christmas, Eggs ,Pets and Transport! These are structured classes but there is no expectation for toddlers to sit still, my classes always incorporate movement and props so there’s plenty to keep them engaged!
