Early motherhood can be incredibly isolating. The village you imagined does not always materialise, and finding genuine connection, the kind where you do not have to explain yourself, can feel harder than it should.
Mamas Circle is a peer support community for mothers, founded and facilitated by Dr. Alria Williams, a Clinical Psychologist with a background in maternal wellbeing. For the past six months we have been meeting online twice a month, and this May we are bringing the circle into a room for the very first time.
This is a morning for you. Not for your baby, not for your role, but for the person you are becoming through motherhood.
What to expect:
A relaxed, welcoming space in a beautiful Central London cafe. Good coffee and time to simply talk and connect with other mums. We'll be creating a "Tree of Life", a simple, grounding creative activity to help you reconnect with your strengths, your roots and your hopes. No artistic skill needed. We'll close with a facilitated discussion in the Mamas Circle way, warm, honest and completely non-judgmental.
Who is this for: Any mother navigating early motherhood. You do not need to have attended Mamas Circle online before. Babies are very welcome to come along. You are welcome exactly as you are.
