Welcome to Phonics with Robot Reg (Sutton Coldfield & North Birmingham), named one of the UK’s Top 100 Children’s Activity Providers! Our expert-led, EYFS-aligned classes offer a vibrant, supportive space for home-educated children in their Reception year (ages 4–5) to build early literacy skills through high-energy, multisensory play.

Essential Early Literacy & Decoding Skills:

We introduce Phase 2 and Phase 3 letter sounds using catchy songs, actions, and interactive games. Alongside our cheeky mascot, Robot Reg, children master oral blending and segmenting—the foundational decoding skills needed for reading—using our signature "Robot Arms"!

Pre-Writing & Core Muscle Mechanics:

Writing starts in the shoulders, not just the fingers. To write with ease, children need strong gross-motor foundations. Swinging large scarves and waving pom-poms builds vital shoulder strength and arm stability. Once those big joints are strong, squeezing and rolling playdough during "Reg’s Rave" builds the fine-motor finger strength required to grip a pencil comfortably.

Designed to enrich your home-education journey, our structured yet playful sessions build reading confidence, communication, and social connections in a welcoming, small-group environment.

We are in the Garden Room. Pass the entrance to the community centre and you will be a back gate to you left. Go through that gate, walk around the building and you will find us. I supply everything you need for the sessions. We have children with severe allergies in this class so request that food is not consumed within the room.
