PHONICS WITH ROBOT REG

Phonics with Robot Reg is popping up at Prebendal Farm Community Centre on three Tuesday mornings this term! These fun, hands-on sessions are a lovely way to try phonics with your little one before they start school.

📅 Tuesday 3 November, Tuesday 24 November and Tuesday 8 December

🤖 Minis (ages 1–2.5): 9:45–10:30am

Created by a primary school teacher and a speech and language therapist, Minis is full of songs, rhymes, sensory play and movement. It boosts speaking and listening skills and introduces early letter sounds.

🤖 Preschool (ages 2.5–4): 10:45–11:30am

Preschool builds on this with sound recognition, alliteration, and oral blending and segmenting, which are the building blocks of reading. Children also do activities that develop the fine and gross motor skills they need for handwriting. Lessons are linked to the EYFS framework, so it’s ideal preparation for Reception.

I’m Karen, and I lead every session. I’m a mum of two and a former primary school teacher with over 14 years’ experience. I left the classroom to be more present for my own family, and now I get to share my love of phonics with little ones in a relaxed, friendly setting.
