LITTLE SQUIRRELS BABY & TODDLER GROUP

We welcome all parents/carers of babies and toddlers. Come along with your little ones and enjoy a variety of activities such as playdough, construction, small world play, mark making, home corner, puzzles and games. There are ride -ons, rockers and slides as well as books and dressing up clothes. There are opportunities to take part in parachute play, stories and singing

Sessions are held every Monday afternoon during school term time from 1.15-2.45pm. The cost is £2 per family which includes a snack bowl and a drink for little ones as well as a hot or cold drink and homemade cake for adults. Payment can be made by cash or card.

St John’s & Highwoods Community Centre has plenty of space to park your car and there is a bus stop just outside. We are located close to Tesco’s and some other shops and businesses (coffee shop, post office, dry cleaners, hair salon, dentist) There are baby changing facilities available and space in the hall where you can safely park your prams and buggies.

We are staffed by volunteers all of whom are very happy to chat to you and lend a helping hand if needed. Parents/carers are responsible for their own children at all times. We encourage sharing and positive praise. If you have a problem with anyone or anything during a session please speak to to a volunteer as soon as possible so that we can sort out the matter with you.

We ask that all parents/carers are respectful and kind to others, acting as good role models for the young children. Please ensure any hot drinks are kept well away from babies and toddlers at all times. It is very helpful to us if you can return any used cups and bowls to the kitchen when you have finished with them.
