Our mission at LRMC…

• Classes will support the wellbeing of parents and babies and support bonding through music making
• Classes will support physical and emotional development
• To provide high quality music provision for little people. Babies will learn through play about the musical elements - pulse, rhythm, dynamics, pitch, tempo and timbre (emphasis on the word ‘play’!)
• Parents will feel empowered to incorporate more musical play into their daily activities

Our Saturday classes are aimed at parents/partners who work in the week, main caregivers with atypical schedules and parents who want to attend a class together, or have the option to take it in turns. These sessions will be offered on a PAYG basis if spaces are available at the beginning of term!

A little about me: I’m a professional musician and experienced music practitioner with over ten years of experience writing, recording, performing and touring alongside teaching in nurseries, primary schools and other settings in a variety of roles - nursery music teacher, one-on-one voice and guitar lessons, whole class primary music provision, creating performing arts sessions to support curriculum learning and even coaching teachers in teaching the music curriculum. I also have a daughter who is 13 months old and have spent the last year singing, bashing things and playing my guitar and my piano with my little one 💖 Sharing lots of musical moments with her, as well as going through the postnatal period myself (and all the emotional upheaval that goes with it) has inspired me to create these sessions, with nourishing and supporting both parent and baby in mind.
