Description
Artists and educators Nick, Kasia, and Hannah have drawn on their teaching experience—informed by Montessori, Dalcroze, Kodály, and Suzuki—to create a new class connecting music and movement joyfully.
With clear structure and repetition, children feel secure. Through improvisation, they experiment, make choices, and express themselves freely. The class develops freedom of movement, creative confidence, and early musical and dance skills, including sensing the pulse, exploring rhythm, and responding to tempos. It nurtures connections between children, carers, and other families.
In Hopscotch, learning is an embodied, sensory, and self-directed process. We meet each child exactly where they are - curious, capable, and ready to move.

Nicholas Hann
Nik studied classical saxophone at Guildhall (First Class Honours). The breadth of music motivates him: learning the bagpipes, shakuhachi, sheng, and whistle allows him to discover music from different cultures and share this with the children.
Kasia Ustowska-Gmerek
Kasia graduated from the State Ballet School (Gdańsk), Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (MA). With ten years in Montessori schools, she uniquely combines dance education with Montessori principles.
Hannah
Hannah studied ethnomusicology at SOAS (Distinction) and is a trained Suzuki Early Childhood Education and violin teacher with ten years of experience. She has a special interest in dance with live music and has regularly organised events with the SOAS Ceilidh band and London Balfolk.
