BRACKEN SPRINGS FOREST SCHOOL

From little acorns Great Oaks Grow! Our family and outdoor practice have been based North Boarhunt for 12 years not far from the ancient forest of Bere, Water Meadows, Vineyards and even Re-wilded Nature Reserves and Garden Areas. As the main leader of the group, Pema is insured and trained forest school leader with years of experience both as an Environmental Educator and also as a mum of three lively children. Now well-loved as a musical forest school we can play the violin, harp and sing with children as well as encourage instruments too to start and end sessions or sometimes as whole session depending on needs of group. It is always a space where we can let the children explore and grow, have a campfire on occasion and play with natural materials and have the space for parents to relax and form friendships without costing the earth. Sessions will run in all weathers and so long-sleeved and outdoor clothing and footwear is recommended. We are not imitating regimented classes and pre-schools but scaffolding and faciliting amazing social play and learning experiences while parents and carers can share outdoor space and breathe.
