ACTIVE HANDS EVENTS

In celebration of the Mexican festival near to Halloween time, we will dive into the cultural roots of Mexican tin art, Hojalata, and the punched paper techniques of Papel Picado. We will provide a guided workshop, using tools and templates to press raised relief designs into soft metal, creating bright, beautiful, Folk art motifs. Children will create art reflecting traditions of the holiday, making connections with historic and present day rituals that honour our ancestors.
