Reception Meet-Up for Future Derwentwater School Starters

Is your child starting Reception at Derwentwater this September? Join us at The Little Club for a relaxed play session designed to help future classmates and their families connect before the start of the school year.

This informal meet-up gives children the opportunity to play together, meet familiar faces and begin forming friendships ahead of their first day at school.

For parents and carers, it's a chance to meet other Derwentwater families, share experiences and build local connections before September arrives.

There will be plenty to keep little ones entertained, with our sensory area available for babies and younger children, a Lego corner for older children, and lots of opportunities for free play throughout the session.

The session is suitable for children starting Reception at Derwentwater in September and their families.

What to expect:

• Free play in a welcoming environment

• Opportunities for children to meet future classmates

• A relaxed space for parents and carers to connect

• Sensory play area for babies and younger children

• Lego corner for older children

• A selection of branded second-hand Derwentwater uniform items available to purchase

Tickets are available for individual children, and we also offer a family ticket covering up to 2 adults and 3 children, making it easy for siblings to come along and enjoy the session too.

We hope this will be a lovely opportunity to make the transition to school feel a little more familiar and exciting for everyone involved.
