MESSYMAYHEM CREATIVE PLAY

We are an independent messy play group providing an opportunity for children to learn through play.

Every week there are a variety of activities on offer which are inspired by a different story - some familiar and some which are proven favourites of my own children! Occasionally, the book for the following week will be selected by a child or decided based on a particular interest that has been shown.

We strive to uphold a 'reduce, reuse, recycle' ethos that challenges us to be creative in our ideas and preparation. Wherever possible we also try to include as much of nature as we can.

We see messy play as a way for the growing mind to explore textures, sights, smells and sounds on all levels so encourage children to investigate and express themselves in a way that suits them. However, the session is a time too for parents and carers to engage with their children, share in their creativity and be part of their learning journey.

We always finish the session with the story of inspiration and a biscuit!
