MATERNAL JOURNAL WITH JENNA

My name is Jenna, and I am a mum of two. I have a background in running health and wellbeing groups within mental health and homelessness, and since becoming a mum, have really wanted to do something for us that nurtures both our creative sides, boosts our wellbeing and brings a sense of community.

Maternal Journal is a global movement that started in 2017 and I will be using its creative guides as a foundation for our course.

This is a 6 week course running every Thursday from 10.30 - 12midday, from Thursday 23rd April - Thursday 28th May at the Crofton Park Tavern.

Every week we will do a different creative activity together, to muse on all the feelings that pregnancy and motherhood have brought us. This will be a mix of writing prose, poetry, drawing and collage and all materials will be provided. No professional skills are needed! It's all about the process and having fun. I will ensure it is a safe space and there will always be an opportunity to check in at the start of the session, chat throughout and share what we have been working on at the end.

Anyone who is pregnant or has given birth are welcome, and children are welcome to join if pre-walking, with refreshments provided.
