LATCH & CHAT

Latch & Chat is a drop-in breastfeeding support & social group. It’s a relaxed space for mums at all stages of breastfeeding to meet, chat, share experiences and connect with others who “get it.”

Breastfeeding can be a wonderful journey, but it can also feel lonely, overwhelming or all-consuming at times. Sometimes you just want to leave the house, have a hot drink, and talk to another adult for a while!

The group is facilitated by Midlothian Breastfeeding Support and the Breastfeeding Network. Trained peer supporters, who have experience breastfeeding their own children, will be at the group each week and are happy to help with any specific breastfeeding questions or listen and support you through any worries or challenges along the way.

We meet every Monday from 1:30-2:30pm at Brew cafe (within KIC Studios) in Ironmills Park (directions here). It’s free to attend with the option to purchase a selection of drinks and delicious cakes from the café.

Please don’t worry about arriving on time or having a “good day.” Come even if your baby cries, you’re late, feeding takes forever or you only stay 20 minutes. You’re very welcome exactly as you are.
