HORSHAM SPORTS SERVICES

A range of organised/coached sport workshops for 5-12 year olds.

Workshops will run each morning and afternoon with three sport options per workshop to participate in. We will allocate the time dedicated to each of the three sports based on factors such as consultation with attending children and weather conditions on the day. Children do not have to do all three sports if they do not want to as we have scope to fle to preferences. Where possible each sport will climax with fun individual and/or team competition eg football match, dodgeball competition, athletics decathlon.

Workshops will be led by a team of qualified and experienced coaches. In the event of bad weather workshops will be delivered in the indoor athletics hall.

Bring a packed lunch if attending morning and afternoon.

Bring a snack and plenty of drink for any length of attendance.

We operate a NO NUT policy, which parents are asked to adhere to in providing food to their child for any session given the risk of someone having an allergic reaction.

Wear clothes appropriate to the prevailing weather conditions (and have spare/back-up clothes available in bag for possible changes and needs)

Children can bring their own bike to ride around the track during breaks if they wish. They must bring and wear their own helmet for it and are recommended to bring a bike lock to securely tether it. Bikes cannot be stored indoors as there is insufficient space, although the covered spectator seating area of the stadium does offer some protection from inclement weather. Children will be warned and ultimately stopped from being allowed to ride if they display dangerous and inconsiderate riding behaviours. Bikes should be in a roadworthy condition. Horsham Sports Services is unable to repair bikes that breakdown and is not responsible in any way for damage or loss of bikes and/or cycling related equipment.
