HERO MARTIAL ARTS PORTSMOUTH

Our children’s martial arts classes are designed for ages 3 to 6 in our Mini Heroes programme and 7 to 12 in our Junior Heroes programme. We use martial arts as a powerful tool to help children develop important life skills that stay with them far beyond the training mat.

At the heart of everything we do is our motto: “Become Your Own Hero.” We encourage every child to discover their inner strength, build confidence and take pride in their personal progress.

In every session, children work towards embodying the qualities of a black belt: perseverance, self control, humility, integrity, courtesy and an indomitable spirit. These values are woven into each class so that children learn not only how to kick and punch, but how to focus, listen, respect others and believe in themselves.

We believe these qualities are best nurtured from a young age, giving children a strong foundation they can carry confidently into their teenage and adult years. Our classes provide a supportive and welcoming community for both children and parents. Families often notice positive changes in physical fitness, confidence and overall wellbeing within just a few weeks.

Alongside self defence and fundamental martial arts techniques, children develop resilience, discipline and self belief in a fun and structured environment. For those who wish to take their journey further, we also offer the opportunity to progress towards junior certified coaching qualifications later on.

Our goal is simple: to help every child grow stronger in body, mind and character — and truly become their own hero.

Your first session is completely free. Booking is essential for health and safety purposes to ensure we provide the best possible experience for every child.
