Play & Learn Club is a welcoming weekly baby and toddler group in Newton, Porthcawl, designed to support early development through play.
Led by experienced early years teachers from Clare House School Porthcawl, each session is carefully planned to be engaging, nurturing and fun for both children and their grown-ups.
We offer two age-appropriate sessions. Please note this session is for children 0 - walking.
Babies (0–walking) – A gentle sensory session including songs, stories, sensory exploration and calm circle time designed to support early communication, movement and curiosity.
Every session includes:
- Welcome and goodbye songs
- A themed story
- Carefully planned sensory and play activities
- Music and movement
- Time for children to explore and learn through play
This is also time for parents and carers to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a friendly chat.
Sessions run weekly during term time at the hall opposite Newton Church in Newton, Porthcawl, with free parking available at St John the Baptist Church.
Our groups are intentionally kept small to create a calm, friendly environment where children can explore and parents can connect.

- Step-free access suitable for prams
- Light snack provided for toddlers
- Tea, coffee and biscuits available for adults
- Please bring comfortable clothes suitable for sensory play
Places are limited to keep sessions calm and welcoming, so booking in advance is required.
