BALLET BEGINNINGS

Ballet Beginnings is a boutique ballet school in Windlesham, offering beautiful, nurturing ballet classes for young children aged 18 months to 6 years.

Created by a Royal Ballet School and Rambert-trained dancer and local mother, Ballet Beginnings was founded to provide a calm, inspiring and high-quality introduction to dance within the community.

Our Saturday morning classes take place at Lumley Hall, Field of Remembrance a peaceful and welcoming setting in the heart of Windlesham. Each class introduces children to ballet through music, imagination and expressive movement, helping to develop coordination, musicality and confidence in a gentle, supportive environment.

We believe a child’s first experience of dance should feel joyful and encouraging. Classes are intentionally kept small, allowing every child to feel comfortable, supported and able to progress at their own pace.

We offer three carefully designed classes:

Little Swans (18 months–3 years)

A magical parent-and-child class introducing young children to movement, music and ballet through imaginative play and storytelling.

Petite Pirouettes (3–4.5 years)

An independent class where children begin to develop coordination, musicality and early ballet technique in a nurturing and creative environment.

Rising Stars (4.5–6 years)

A gentle introduction to more structured ballet foundations, inspired by the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, helping children build strength, confidence and expressive movement.

Our approach combines classical ballet foundations with creativity, warmth and imagination nurturing not only technique, but confidence, creativity and a lifelong love of movement.

Ballet Beginnings is proud to offer Windlesham families a beautiful, meaningful activity that children can look forward to each week.

Classes run during term time, with introductory classes available for new families.
