At BabyMatters, we believe in the power of touch and the vital role it plays in bonding with your baby.

Baby massage is a beautiful sensory experience that supports your baby’s development while creating calm, connected moments between you. Gentle massage stimulates your baby’s skin and body, boosts oxytocin (the “happy hormone”), and can help improve sleep, digestion and comfort — particularly for babies experiencing wind or colic.

Just as importantly, it’s a deeply nurturing way to build a strong emotional bond. Through touch, your baby feels safe, soothed and understood, helping them relax, stretch and release everyday tensions.

Our course is inclusive and welcoming to both parents. While a mother’s touch is well known, research shows a father’s touch is equally important in supporting a baby’s wellbeing — making this a special experience to share.

You’ll learn a blend of Swedish and Indian massage techniques, alongside elements of reflexology and gentle baby yoga. You’ll also receive massage oil to take home, so you can confidently continue these calming routines with your partner and family.

The course runs over six relaxed sessions. In the first four weeks, you’ll learn a full body massage routine. Week five introduces a “quick massage” and gentle baby movement, alongside nursery rhymes and songs (no singing confidence required!).

Each session also includes time to unwind with tea and biscuits, creating space to connect with other parents and talk openly about early parenthood, including:

• Birth experiences and recovery

• When to start dental care

• Weaning and introducing solids

• Returning to work or childcare options

• Supporting your baby as they grow into toddlerhood

More than a course, this is a calm, supportive space to build confidence, share experiences and form lasting friendships.
