Description
Six weekly sessions, a small group of mothers, and a qualified therapist to hold the room. Come to connect, make friends, learn about yourself and your children, or simply because you fancy a space that's focused on you.
A real village isn't made up of people at exactly the same stage as you. Mothers of babies, toddlers, school-age children, teenagers: all welcome.
This might be for you to:
- Meet other mothers and build genuine friendships
- Understand your children's behaviour and emotions — and your own reactions to them
- Explore the emotional side of motherhood, including the parts that catch you off guard
- Share lonely or anxious feelings with people who get it
Week 1 Introduction — getting to know each other
Week 2 Who am I now? — identity shifts when you become a mother
Week 3 Emotions — anger and sadness; ours and our children's
Week 4 Anxiety — yours and your child's, and how they connect
Week 5 Raising kind humans — empathy, difference and inclusivity
Week 6 Screens and social lives — navigating the online world as a family
Each session starts with a check-in to arrive and settle. The facilitator then shares around twenty minutes of practical, down-to-earth psychological insight on that week's topic. The rest is yours — conversation, questions, shared experiences. Swapping stories, unpicking something on your mind, or simply listening and feeling less alone. You share as much or as little as you like.
£200 for all 6 sessions — places are limited to 8.
Pay it forward: you'll have the option to contribute towards a subsidised place for a mother who couldn't otherwise attend.
We're exploring on-site childcare — let us know at sign-up if this would help.
Not a mother? Can't make these dates? We're planning future groups for fathers and other parents. Register your interest via our website.
