What MotherFolk says

Our writing circles are small, baby-friendly but mother-focused spaces. We use gentle writing prompts to process our motherhood experiences and build community.

You don't need to feel like a writer to participate. Writing is simply a gentle tool we use to release, reconnect with ourselves, and reclaim our motherhood stories.

This group is open to anyone who self-identities with mothering or motherhood. All stories, experiences, and identities welcome.

Hi, I'm Poppy

I'm a creative, nature-lover and mother to a curious little boy. I was born and raised in the Ribble Valley, spending most of my time up Pendle Hill as I have navigated each season of my life.

After I gave birth, I needed a creative outlet so I turned to writing. I wanted to make sure I didn’t lose myself as I learned how to be a whole new type of human; a mother.

I’m so excited to be building a community nestled in amongst the hills and valleys that I call home. A community who knows deep in their bones the importance of mothers being at the centre of the story.
