BOOGIE MITES

When Harriet set about writing Boogie Mites songs she had the parents in mind. Harriet wanted to expand the repertoire of traditional children’s songs and to offer songs with themes that would interest the children but musical backing tracks that would interest and uplift the adults taking part. To Harriet it seemed simple – if the adult role model is having fun then the child will be more likely to want to join in and to value the activity as something worthwhile and fun. Harriet did not attempt to dumb down the musical arrangements or the vocabulary. Boogie Mites music uses many different genres of music, many instruments, harmonies and catchy melodies on top of a strong steady beat.
