Baby Band music classes offer a safe, supportive and fun musical experience for you and your little people. Join us at Baby Band and start your child's musical education today. Baby Band is all about playing real instruments and listening to great examples of music from a huge variety of genres, not just singing along to basic nursery rhymes, although we do love some of the classics. We have a team of live musicians who regularly join us with their various instruments to give our Baby Band members a taste of live music. Hi, I’m Kirsty, a proud Baby Band franchisee based in South York. My journey with Baby Band began as a parent, then a teacher, and now I’m thrilled to be running my own franchise. You could say I’m a bit of a Baby Band enthusiast!
I live in York with my daughter, my musician husband, and our cat, Robot. With a background as an actor and performing arts facilitator, I’ve always been passionate about music and theatre. After an incredible year teaching Baby Band classes and delivering music sessions in nurseries, I’m so excited to be growing Baby Band here in York and sharing the magic of music with even more families.

Baby Band classes are a 45min interactive music session for children who are from 3-4 months to 4 years old. Little ones will sing, dance and play quality percussion instruments along to great music lead by our class teacher, grown-ups are encouraged to join in the fun too. There is no expectation for you to sing, or be good at singing, it's all about learning to be musical with your child and helping them develop a love of music in a relaxed atmosphere.

Having the right music is really important to us.

Whichever class you go to, you won't be subjected to endless twee nursery rhymes. We believe in listening to good music right from the start. Every couple of weeks we focus on a new genre from musicals to 90s pop, jazz to Disney classics, rock to girl bands. It's much more fun when we all enjoy the music.
